WEST GRIMSTEAD ROLL OF HONOUR

Here you will see 26 names of men who served in the Great War of 1914-1918. Three of the men were killed in action, two were wounded and two were taken prisoners of war.

--------------

If you take a look at the village War Memorial you will see that there are five names of soldiers who died in the Great War who are commemorated

The two missing names from this Roll of Honour are:

HARRY BUNDY and FREDERICK LIGHT

This Roll of Honour was sited in the porch of the Methodist Chapel in West Grimstead but ,with the closure of the Chapel in September 2009, this has been removed for safe keeping. There is another Roll of Honour which hangs in St John's Church
